Quality Inspector

Purpose of the Job 

This role is to monitor and record any quality findings and alert to risks of production at factories. It is a key element to cooperation between suppliers and project teams. To do this he/she must be a highly organized individual, excellent communicator, planner, presenter, negotiator, and team player working closely with our supplier factories, category managers, account team, strategic sourcing managers etc.

Key Responsibilities 

• Travel to factories and conduct inspections based on the working schedule from the Quality Coordinator
• Be responsible for daily inspections at suppliers, mainly for Point of Sale Materials (POSM), Gifting, Premium and Promotional Items, Luxury Packaging, covering Softline and Hardline products
• Inspections might include prototype, first article, during production, and final inspections, depending on the project’s request
• Generate an inspection report with our inspection app tool, with the pre-embedded template. The inspection report must be completed within 24 hours after the inspection
• Ensure to double-check the requirement in our inspection booking system. Make sure the dimension, structure, colour, finishes, graphic, etc, match the signed sample and/or drawings. On-site tests are to be done, such as function, loading, stability, adhesion, drop test etc., and to cover all tests listed on Quality Assurance Plan (QAP).
• Report the issues found during inspection in a timely manner to the project team and quality manager. Highlight the potential risks that may cause a delay in delivery or compromise on quality
• Monitor the factory’s Quality Checking (QC) procedures to ensure they are providing adequate quality inspections on each project and spot checks during production runs
• Chain of custody due diligence verification at factories, such as GRS material verification
• If needed, follow up on the improvement actions from the supplier, like material, process, etc.
• If needed, support to do factory audits covering quality system, CSR, capability etc.
• Any other task assignment if the company needs

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

• A holder of a college degree or above. Majored in printing, furniture, or mechanics is a plus
• At least 3years’experience of inspection on products, and familiar with the (Acceptable Quality Limit) AQL system
• Experience on Point of Sale Materials (POSM), Gifting, Premium and Promotional items, and Luxury Packaging is preferred. An understanding of process flow and manufacturing & strong technical awareness is required
• Can use inspection tools in a professional way and be able to work independently
• Good command of written English, native level in the Vietnamese language, knowledge on Chinese is a plus
• Advanced level in MS Office
• Work with the utmost integrity and showcase HH Global culture, values, and code of conduct in working with factories
• Able to work under pressure and travel frequently
• Good communication skills and teamwork spirit
