Purpose of the Job

The Retail Design and Development team is shaping our client's global retail landscape. As the Store Designer on this team, you'll collaborate with a Senior Designer to conceive and develop innovative retail environments and programs that capture our client's design spirit and elevate the consumer experience. You will create original 3D retail design solutions and develop concepts that align with retail business strategies, managing complex projects both independently and collaboratively. Key Responsibilities

  • Evolve retail concepts and stores, support enhanced product presentation and service engagement, aligning with Brand experience creative direction
  • Elevate and strengthen premium and purposeful storytelling across retail consumer touch points. Define, pilot, perfect and scale design solutions.
  • Collaborates with peers, design counterparts and partner groups to ensure project design continuity across all areas of focus.
  • Leverages design processes and best practices to ensure design deliverables, timelines and budgets are met.
  • Communicates and presents design concepts to team/Sr. Designer/ Design Manager and creates presentation materials that effectively communicate design intent.
  • Ability to effectively elevate concerns to design leadership in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Produces project production files as required.

Knowledge, Skills + Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in architectural, interior design or environmental design and 5+ years design experience.
  • Retail design industry/environments experience preferred; retail environments, concepts and programs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design processes. Advanced knowledge of computer systems and design applications. Revit, Enscape, Adobe, ACAD, plangrid, etc
  • Strong oral and written communications skills including meeting facilitation and presentations.
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate concepts/design intent to senior creative team.
  • Ability to manage contractors/external vendors including design and production studios/agencies.
  • Strong ability to manage / prioritize multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes.
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and geographies.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent quantitative reasoning, creativity and strategic skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic team environment.

For California applicants: The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, certifications and work location. This range may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
