Chemical Regulatory Expert
Position Overview
The Chemical Regulatory Expert contributes to the continuity and growth of business by implementing the necessary activities and processes to ensure compliance with regulations applicable to the products, materialsand business activities of Bakelite European legal entities.
The Chemical Regulatory Expert will provide expertiseand guidance to Bakelite European functions, teamsand customers as the internal expert on the principleEU and UK chemical management laws and regulations.
Job Description

Fully responsible for maintainingREACH registrations from communication with consortia to dossier registration updates, substance review, assessment of downstream impacts, update of SDS and development of Exposure Scenario.

Fully responsible for submittingsubstance and product notifications as required by regulations in the assigned regions.

Fully responsible for the review and approval of new raw materials and vendors and for the maintenance of the related data in the company ERP and SDS authoring systems.

Responsible for regulatory compliance of existing and new products as subject-matter-expert on applicable product and chemical regulations in the assigned regions.

Fully responsible for preparing and/or reviews Safety Data Sheets and labels to ensure they comply withindividual region regulatory product classification.

Fully responsible for addressing in a timely mannerinternal and external customerinquirieson regulatory matters such REACH Compliance, Chemical Inventory Reviews, RoHS Letters, and on product SDSs.

Support the maintenance and update of the company ERP and SDS authoring system.

Support the implementation of current and new chemical regulations in assigned regions.
Education& Skill Requirements

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Health Science, Biology, Toxicology or similar.

Minium of 4+ years relevant experience in product stewardship and/or regulatory compliance including SDS/Label authoring and DG classification in Europe; Asia is a plus.

Computer skills (SAP or similar ERP system, SDS authoring software, regulatory databases).

Working knowledge of analytical and reaction chemistry a plus.

Experience working with international and multifunctional teams a plus.

German speaking and knowledge of Germa specific regulations such as WGK a plus
