Position Summary  

Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the HR Manager will provide HR support to our operations and engineering teams in the UK. Leading our UK HR team, the Human Resources Manager responsibilities include including recruiting, onboarding, employee records, employee relations and safety. The successful candidate will also play a crucial role in global HR initiatives.

The HR Manager role is onsite and offered on a full-time, permanent basis. Hours of work are primarily Monday to Friday. Some flexibility is required based on business needs. Direct reports include a safety professional and HR Administrator.

This role is onsite every day in Woodford Halse. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the site HR team provides a consultancy and advisory service to managers on matters of discipline, grievance and performance improvement, while embracing the company’s core values.
  • Develop and make recommendations related to necessary changes to HR strategies, policies, practices, and processes.
  • Work with the global HR team to develop people related strategies and programmes.
  • Facilitate change management activities related to implementing HR initiatives and strategies.
  • Responsible for delivery of best practice, day-to-day advice and support, that is compliant with current legal and professional standards.
  • Facilitate the negotiation of offers of employment, prepare employment contracts, and coordinate new hire onboarding.
  • Provide HR support and guidance on a range of people related matters, including job description development, talent management, employee recognition, and succession planning.
  • Maintain and administer safety related programmes, including safety audits and incident investigations.


Key Experience and Competencies 

  • Five or more years of progressive experience in human resources management.
  • CIPD Level 5 Qualification required. A CIPD Level 7 Qualification is desirable.
  • Experience in disciplinary processes, up to and including dismissal.
  • Experience in contractual amendments requiring consultation.
  • High levels of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • People-oriented mindset with strong listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong preference for HR experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Organised with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident with HR systems, as well as desktop software, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Successful experience leading other HR professionals.
