We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Lead with a passion for delivering robust, modern web and mobile solutions, leading up one of our tech squads. You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and work closely with Product, BA, and QA to shape our platforms.

You’ll have deep expertise in either back-end or front-end technologies and a strong appreciation of the entire development lifecycle—from design to build, deploy, and operate.

 

Title: Technical Lead 
Location: Liverpool City Centre on a Hybrid working basis
Salary: £70,000–£85,000 depending on experience

 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a multidisciplinary delivery team (front-end, back-end, QA, analysts) to deliver high-quality software
  • Drive architectural decisions and ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable
  • Act as a technical mentor and coach, fostering professional growth across the team
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, BAs, and Designers to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Maintain alignment with our standards on DevOps, testing strategies, and resilience
  • Advocate for performance, security, and continuous improvement across our products
  • Manage 3rd-party technical relationships where necessary
  • Support incident response and BAU priorities when required

 

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Strong experience as a Technical Lead, Senior Engineer, or Architect on complex web applications
  • Expertise in either front-end or back-end development:
    • Front-End: React, TypeScript, Next.js, modern build tools
    • Back-End: C#, .NET Core, event-driven systems, microservices architecture
  • Good knowledge of DevOps pipelines, CI/CD practices, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Ability to design and communicate robust architecture and coding standards
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams in an agile environment
  • Familiarity with modern security practices (OAuth, JWT, etc.)
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across disciplines
  • Bonus: Experience with Docker, RabbitMQ, MediatR, Masstransit, Keycloak, Loki or Grafana
