Job Purpose
Reporting to the Group Head of Learning & Skills India, the role holder will play a critical role in delivering OSB Group’s Learning & Skill Strategy. The Learning & Skills team plays a pivotal role in delivering OSB Group’s priority to be “future -fit” for banking. OSB Group has embarked on significant technology Modernisation programme, which gives the organisation an exciting opportunity to transform it’s people eco-system. Modernisation will deliver significant automation opportunities and seamless end to end customer and colleague experiences. The programme is delivering at pace, using agile practices giving the entire organisation an opportunity to optimise their ways of working and approach to their own function’s skills to adapt for a modernised organisation. OSB Group has entered a maturing stage in its corporate lifecycle m aking it a prime moment to evolve its approach to the people and skills.
The Data & Technology Product Owner will be responsible for creating and delivering learning journeys to drive the data and technology skills and capability across OSB Group. The Data & Technology Learning Product Owner will responsible data and technology related career pathways impacting those experienced in modernised skills and those transitioning from legacy technology capabilities. This remit will include reskilling and early career pathways as well as deep technical learning interventions. The Data & Technology Product Owner will also act as an SME collaborating with the Group Learning Product Owner to support the entire organisation with the data, digital and agile liter acy. Leading a team of learning specialists, the Data & Technology Learning Product Owner will be responsible for demonstrating a measurable impact on OSB’s internal data and technology capability,
The Data & Technology Learning Product Owner will lead a team and cross functional squads to deliver a blended approach to learning utilising internal design and consultancy skills as well as external content, technologies and systems to create impactful learning jou rneys for the organisation. The team will collaborate with the PT & Skills Tech & Insight team to leverage Learning Insight to optimise learning solutions and demonstrate the impact on the Group’s business priorities. The Data & Technology Learning Product Owner will leverage industry best practice to execute modern learning practices and content in OSB Group
2. Core Responsibilities
- Define, create and communicate learning pathways to increase OSB’s modern data and technology capabilities to align to the Group’s goal to become “future-fit”
- Collaborate with internal and external SMEs, business functions and the People Transformation team to understand the key capability gaps today and in the future
- Take a ‘systems thinking’ approach designing learning journeys with consideration of all touch points during the colleagues e nd to end experience
- Create, prioritise and maintain a learning backlog to achieve the learning vision for data and technlogy learning, incorporating stakeholder requirements
- Curate learning pathways using a blended channel approach and a mix of external and internally created content , inclusive of different format such as digital learning, facilitated learning, workshops, on the job training and coaching
- Ensure full visibility of the backlog, work in progress, flow and output of the work, escalating blockers and managing depend encies
- Relentless focus on continuous improvement of the user experience during each touch point of the learning experience, optimising design and technology to create market leading learning experiences and drive impactful learning outcomes, including optimising the LMS
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of training content and format to track their performance against desired outcomes
- Lead the Data & Technology Learning team and cross functional squads using agile learning practices, providing management, leadership and coaching to nurture a high performing environment
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies within learning, to aid the continuous enhancement of the
Group’s people related practices
- Support the Group’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist in identifying and implementing related initiatives to create a truly inclusive and equitable work environment
- Ensure that you and your team fully understand and comply with the organisation’s Risk Management Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day-to-day work that you put customers at the heart of everything you do

3. Experience Requirements
- Previous experience creating and delivering learning and development journeys including content curation
- Previous experience leading high performing teams across multiple locations
- Previous experience working effectively with Learning Management Systems, authoring tools and learning insight
- Previous experience taking a product not project approach to the learning deliverables, driving optimisation and continuous improvement
- Previous experience delivering end to end projects or products from inception, design, deployment and improvement
- Familiarity with a skills based organisation approach (FSSC)
4. Knowledge Requirements
- Knowledge of data and technology learning approaches
- Specialist knowledge in learning & development best practices and industry trends
- Robust knowledge industry tools, systems and methods to sustain a skills-based organisation
- Robust knowledge of agile learning practices
5. Skill and Competency Requirements
- Exceptional communication skills are essential (verbal and written), with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Excellent design thinking and systems thinking capability
- Demonstrated agile project management skills are essential, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Demonstrated skills to analyze complex problems and deliver insightful, practical, and sustainable solutions
- Resilience and tenacity to lead through ambiguity and change with impact
- People leadership skills to develop and sustain a high performing team
- Intermediate skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential
6. Required Qualifications/Certifications
- Graduation is essential
- Professional CIPD qualifications are highly desirable
