Salary:                        £35,327 with potential to rise to £39,585 over 3 years

NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first and to deliver against our strategic objectives.

 

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst who will be perform a wide range of economic and product analyses.   They will analyse and report external economic trends and appraise the financial effect on the company.

They will also be responsible for evaluating pricing and margin trends, reviewing significant pricing decisions for economic soundness. This is an analytical position combining knowledge of accounting and finance issues with business sense.

Every day you will …

  • Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends
  • Work with existing systems and protocols to carry out designated economic research activities, either to support others or to deliver prescribed outcomes.
  • Provide basic financial modelling input into business cases, costs, and schedules to support growth in the business, alongside extracting and combining data to generate reports.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice.
  • Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures, referring the most complex issues to others.

What skills will help you thrive in this role?

  • At least three years previous experience of working in a Business Analyst role
  • The ability to research and interpret economic trends and assess their impact on the business.
  • Skilled in extracting, combining, and interpreting data to identify key themes and trends.
  • Previous experience in building or contributing to financial models for business cases, pricing, and cost analysis.
  • A Financial background would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Excel, financial systems and possibility BI tools.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly.
