Summary
This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the Project Commercial Director to manage specifics sections of an impressive major project, being responsible for the Financial and Commercial performance of this major project.
This is a key role within the Commercial project structure, with responsibility for delivery on a major emerging technology project of immense scale and scope. You will maximise the financial effectiveness and profitability through diligent application of agreed contractual and commercial practices, ensuring careful contractual allocation and management of risks from tender stage through to completion.
Responsibilities
- Manage a section of the Commercial team responsible for defined delivery objectives
- Provide prompt communication and carry out negotiations as required to improve our commercial and financial position
- Be responsible for commercial risk management through review procedures and contract negotiations
- Ensure all records are generated and maintained to avoid and manage disputes.
- Build and maintain high level mutually beneficial customer, key supplier and vendor relationships. Promote the business and actively seek out new opportunities.
- Carry out negotiations as required to improve our Commercial and Financial position.
- Ensure all necessary records are generated and maintained, in order to maximise NG Bailey's contractual entitlements and justify our position. Including using records to avoid disputes wherever possible and managing any disputes where required.
- Manage the commercial performance of the project and the project commercial staff and ensure they successfully achieve project and individual objectives.
- Direct and advise on all matters of dispute resolution within the business area.
Requirements
- Experience gained within a leadership role with responsibility for the financial performance on a major M&E or construction project
- High level of commercial acumen and gravitas with ability to influence internally and with partners and customers
- Ideally with experience of working with Offsite Manufacturing facilities
