Summary
NG Bailey Facilities Services are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Shift Maintenance Leaders to join our Defence contract in Cyprus. The Shift Leader will ideally have High Voltage Authorised Person Status and / or experience of switching / writing switching schedules and happy to be trained to be a HV AP.
As based in Cyprus full time, you will be offered a package in line with our standard T&C's plus a generous Overseas Allowance to support with accommodation etc whilst in the country.
SC Security Clearance is a condition of employment. If not held before, this will be obtained with the support of NG Bailey.
You will be working a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off 6 on 6 off continental shift pattern – 4 Days, 6 off, 4 Nights on, 4 off, 3 Days 3 Nights, 4 off - Repeat
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Ensure that the control room is manned at all times during the shift and the BMS, PMCS, Fire systems and all other control system are monitored throughout the shift.
- Ensure that all plant checks and planned preventative maintenances are carried out effectively and on time by the shift team, and that all problems found are recorded and communicated to the management team.
- Carry out and monitor PPM completion in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
- Be proactive regarding preventative maintenance and good site husbandry.
- Respond in a prompt and effective manner to all related reactive maintenance issues, associated with the electrical infrastructure and the heating and ventilation systems, lighting, pumps, tanks, doors, gates, shutters, drainage, valves, pipe work and associated mechanical or electrical systems as directed.
- Repairs of electrical and mechanical systems, controls and associated systems. Escalate issues as necessary.
- To raise and allocate reactive work orders via the CAFM system and monitor the completion.
- To carry out thorough shift handovers and shift logs detailing all work carried out and workload to be handed over.
- A key success factor in the Shift Leader role is communication, particularly in reporting plant problems / failures that may impact on the client business. It is essential that the details of all plant problems / failures are communicated to the Management team.
What we’re looking for:
A Electrical Lead Technician (HVAP) working to a high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) within a commercial occupied environment and with the utmost regard for customer service this is a role for you.
You will hold current qualifications to work as a Electrical Technician including;
- City & Guilds Electrical discipline competency Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent.
- 18th Edition IEE Regulations.
- And be conversant with Electrical Plant related Building Services PPM's carried out in-line with SFG20 and resulting Reactive Work.
- Ideally all candidates would have completed an Electrical and or Mechanical apprenticeship.
- Competent working knowledge of Air Handling Unit’s, Building Management Systems, Air Conditioning equipment, Cold Water systems, Heating and Ventilation. systems, Water Treatment UPS, and Emergency Generators.
- HV & LV Authorised Person.
- Experience with HV generation and control systems.
- Experience with UPS systems.
- Experience with working within a critical and secure environment.
