About New Look’s Technology Engineering Team:
The role will sit in our Technology function in our Engineering Team whose primary focus is to develop the digital and cloud capability for New Look. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who wants to be part of something right at the start and be involved in creating an innovative team culture. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong work ethic. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a key player in the Engineering team.
Role id based in our London or Weymouth office.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (RESPONSIBILITIES)
- Proven team player with a can-do mentality
- Plans tasks for self and is accountable for their delivery.
- Drives development of fast, clean and reliable code
- Responsible for understanding business problems and designing, developing / configuring, testing, and deploying software to provide the solution
- Depending on the team, responsibilities may include building pipelines, building cloud environments to be used in part of the development processes
- Ensures the delivery of the software is high quality and automated as much as possible
- Working in a growing environment that has/uses Test Driven Development, Agile, and Scrum methodologies
- Advocates DevOps culture, tooling, delivery methods as part of a larger cross-functional team
- Understands cloud cost models and can run cloud readiness assessments
- Has knowledge of cloud security and seeks implementation of best practices
- Camaraderie with the engineering team and other professionals in the company
- Communicate proficiently and professionally.
- Deliver new software features promptly and free of defects.
- Being dedicated and willing to follow through with individual and team commitments.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or any other relevant field
3+ years of experience as a Dev Ops Engineer
- Experience of working in Retail would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite
- Prior experience with the following (cloud) platforms and services: Terraform & Azure
- Prior experience in working with development lifecycle and source control systems, preferably git, Gitlab and Jira
- Prior experience in Agile with JIRA and team collaboration.
- Prior experience in security minded designs, implementations and integrations
- Preferable prior experience in the following technologies: React/Next.js, Typescript, GraphQL, Node/NestJS
- Preferable experience with automation testing
