As part of the dynamic content team within the wider Creative team you are the inspiring Senior Fashion Editor.

You have more than a flair for fashion storytelling and will bring products and campaigns to life by crafting engaging narratives that captivate our customers, ensuring we tell meaningful stories across multiple touchpoints.

You will be responsible for developing compelling editorial content that aligns with New Look’s Brand vision. Ensuring our brand voice is always consistent.

In a nutshell, you will shape the voice of a leading fashion retailer, talking to millions of customers as though they were your friend, inspiring, relatable and full of personality.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Content Creation: you will develop engaging fashion stories that align with seasonal trends, utilising the design team’s initial vision, cultural and social events and building out credible content to build New Look’s brand identity.
  • Editorial Planning: You will work with the Snr AD and Content lead, building the content strategy. Curating and planning fashion content for campaigns, editorials, CRM/emails and paid pushes, social media, website features, and other digital platforms. Developing compelling content strategies that align with product launches, seasonal collections, and key cultural moments.
  • Product Storytelling: Write captivating product narratives that highlight key features, design details, and seasonal influences. You go further than purely describing- you bring it to life. Ensuring all copy reflects New Look's brand voice and personality, adapting tone to suit various platforms and customer segments.
  • Email & Marketing Support: Develop impactful and engaging copy for email campaigns, ensuring each piece aligns with the overall editorial narrative and is also commercial and relatable to the intended customer base.
  • Trend Interpretation: Translate seasonal fashion trends into compelling content that inspires customers and supports the design teams' direction.
  • You live and breathe all things fashion: bringing new ideas for content stories and ways to deliver to the content team. Working on planned pieces and also in the moment content keeping us relevant and exciting.
  • Collaborative Working: Work closely with the Creative content, styling, Marketing, and Creative design teams to align content with product launches and marketing strategies. Brainstorming  innovative content ideas that elevate our product storytelling.
  • Proofreading & Editing: Ensure all content meets brand tone of voice, is grammatically accurate, and aligns with New Look’s messaging.
  • Creative Vision: Collaborate with the video content creative, stylists, content creatives, and design to produce visually compelling fashion editorial, ini campaigns and social and CRM pieces  that showcase products effectively.
  • CRM: Collaborate with digital and CRM teams to ensure email campaigns drive engagement and enhance the customer experience.
  • Critical Path: Manage timelines and deadlines to ensure smooth delivery of creative projects.
  • Leadership: Mentor and guide junior copywriters, ensuring high standards across all content outputs.
  • Store: direct the senior copy writer in seasonal and directional messaging for stores. Bringing the brands tov to give life to all communications.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Proven experience in fashion editorial writing, within a retail or fashion environment.
  • Strong understanding of fashion trends, seasonal narratives, and product storytelling across multiple platforms.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to translate creative concepts into engaging written content.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally with creative, marketing, and product teams.
  • Proficiency in CMS platforms and experience working in digital content environments.
  • A fastidious love of language and grammar, backed up with best -in-class subbing and editing experience.
