As part of the dynamic content team within the wider Creative team you are the inspiring Senior Fashion Editor.

You have more than a flair for fashion storytelling and will bring products and campaigns to life by crafting engaging narratives that captivate our customers, ensuring we tell meaningful stories across multiple touchpoints.

You will be responsible for developing compelling editorial content that aligns with New Look’s Brand vision. Ensuring our brand voice is always consistent.

In a nutshell, you will shape the voice of a leading fashion retailer, talking to millions of customers as though they were your friend, inspiring, relatable and full of personality.

This role is based in our London office, min 3 days a week.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Copy Development: Support the Content Lead in shaping impactful copy on campaigns and BAU by managing end-to-end copy development, while mentoring junior writers and managing workflow to ensure consistent, high-quality output that aligns with brand voice and creative direction.

Content Creation: Develop engaging fashion stories that align with seasonal trends, using the design team’s initial vision, cultural and social moments to build out credible content that enhances New Look’s brand identity.

Product Storytelling: Write captivating product narratives that highlight key features, design details, and seasonal influences — bringing collections to life with storytelling that reflects New Look’s brand voice and personality across platforms.

Email & Marketing Support: Craft impactful, commercial, and relatable copy for email campaigns, ensuring alignment with editorial narrative and customer tone.

Trend Interpretation: Translate seasonal fashion trends into compelling copy that inspires customers and supports design direction.

Proofreading & Editing: Ensure all content meets brand tone of voice, is grammatically accurate, and aligns with New Look’s messaging.

Editorial Planning: Work with the Snr AD and Content Lead to build content strategies, curating and planning for campaigns, editorials, CRM/emails, paid media, social, website features, and more.

Collaborative Working: Partner with Creative content, styling, marketing, and design teams to align storytelling with marketing strategies, brainstorming innovative content ideas to elevate product narratives.

Creative Vision: Collaborate with video creatives, stylists, and design teams to produce visually engaging fashion editorials, campaign visuals, and CRM content that bring the product to life.

CRM: Partner with digital and CRM teams to ensure email content drives engagement and supports the broader customer experience.

Critical Path: Manage timelines and deadlines to ensure smooth delivery of all creative projects.

Leadership: Mentor and guide junior copywriters, ensuring a consistent standard of excellence across all content outputs.

Store Messaging: Direct the Senior Copywriter on in-store messaging and seasonal campaigns, bringing the brand’s tone of voice to life across all customer-facing communications.

Fashion Culture Engagement: Stay plugged into fashion and culture, contributing fresh content ideas and reactive moments that keep New Look relevant and exciting

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Proven experience in fashion editorial writing, within a retail or fashion environment.
  • Strong understanding of fashion trends, seasonal narratives, and product storytelling across multiple platforms.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to translate creative concepts into engaging written content.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally with creative, marketing, and product teams.
  • Proficiency in CMS platforms and experience working in digital content environments.
  • A fastidious love of language and grammar, backed up with best -in-class subbing and editing experience.
