Warehouse Operations are critical to the support of our client AB InBev and their brewery in Magor. This role takes operational responsibility for all core elements of the warehouse operation across all three shifts (6-2, 2-10, 10-6) and acts as a the link between the Warehouse Manager and Shift Management team, on behalf of the client (AB InBev)

The post holder will have direct management of the Shift Managers who are responsible for the 24hr operation of the warehouse at Gwent Park

Supporting role for the Warehouse Manager and cover provision during holidays and absence

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Previous  warehouse management experience
• Proven  record of team management
• Proven record of  dealing with customers on a day to day basis
• Experience in the FMCG sector - preferred
• Excellent attention to detail
• You will have excellent communication skills, spoken and written
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A methodical and structured approach to problem solving
• An approachable attitude and a flexible approach to work
• Strong PC Literacy including Word & Excel in a business capacity
• Knowledge of driver’s hours is beneficial but not essential
• Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent 
• Client facing if and when required on daily calls and throughout the day
• Alignment on production and delivery schedules inbound and outbound for core activity
• Direct management of the shift managers to ensure sufficient resource and focus is applied
• Agile management to plan ahead to be able to react to production and schedule changes being driven by the client and transport teams
• Oversee all shift managers  roles and responsibilities 
• Ongoing team development
• Best practice alignment of processes
