Customer and Network Manager | Full time | Newbury

 

Palletforce Logistics Berkshire is a key member of the UK’s leading palletised freight distribution network. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service to our customers while maintaining a strong, efficient logistics operation. We are currently seeking a proactive and organised Customer and Network Manager to join our team in Newbury.

 

THE ROLE

As the Customer and Network Manager, you will act as a vital link between our customers, drivers, and internal teams. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, resolving issues efficiently, and supporting both the customer service and traffic teams to maintain high service standards.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITES: 

  • Manage and clear network messages and discrepancies (discreps)
  • Allocate collections and accept customer jobs into the system
  • Support the customer service team with queries and escalations
  • Assist the traffic team with operational coordination
  • Book in trunking operations and ensure timely scheduling
  • Update Proof of Delivery (POD) records and maintain accurate documentation
  • Handle customer complaints with professionalism and efficiency
  • Provide support to drivers with delivery-related queries
  • Conduct occasional route and delivery planning
  • Identify and claim back missed or lost revenue opportunities

 

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:  

  • Experience in logistics, transport, or customer service roles (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational abilities
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach
