Purpose of the Job

The Data Warehouse Developer will be responsible for creating the data model and developing ETL/ELT processes to populate the enterprise data warehouse.  This role will also be responsible for developing reports for internal and external stakeholders and maintaining views leveraged by external reporting groups. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business reporting needs and translate into a functional data model.
  • Develop Azure Data Factory pipelines to facilitate data movement between source databases and data warehouse.
  • Build advanced SQL queries for stored procedures, functions, and views to support ETL/ELT data processing and reporting.
  • Performance tune queries for efficiency.
  • Develop SSIS packages, where needed, for legacy, on premise data warehouse and reporting.
  • Develop standard SSRS reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for review by executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot data and reporting bugs reported by internal and external users.
  • Document requirements for new data and reporting requests.
  • Participate in peer code review process, using established coding standards and best practices.
  • Perform unit and regression testing for new features.
  • Coordinate testing of reporting and data model with business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate on an Agile development team.
  • Assist with project management activities by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

  • 5+ years work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technology related discipline
  • Experience with SQL Server, both on premise and Azure
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory and SSIS
  • Experience with SSRS.
  • Experience with PowerBI a plus.
  • Experience with Git source control.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills related to data analysis and manipulation
  • Good troubleshooting and error isolation skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Experience working in a multinational company a plus
  • Must have eligibility to work in the U.S without visa sponsorship

For US based applicants: The US base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $110,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, certifications and work location. This range may be different in other locations due to differences in cost of labor. The total compensation for this package includes an annual performance bonus target in addition to base salary.
